OJCC Mission Statement: "Together We Are Community"
The mission of the Okanagan Jewish Community Centre is to work towards building a strong and unified Jewish Community in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. The OJCC encourages an inclusive atmosphere of understanding and respect amongst Jews of different backgrounds, and maintains cooperative relationships with other regional and national Jewish community organizations. The OJCC also aims to promote a positive and active relationship with the Okanagan Community at large.
The OJCC is committed to building a growing and evolving Jewish Community while enriching Jewish life by providing opportunities for social, cultural, and educational development. The community promotes the values, practices, and traditions which sustain and enrich Judaism and the Jewish culture.
OJCC Vision Statement: Growth and Development
Family Support and Development: The OJCC will provide an environment that fosters and supports Jewish families throughout all aspects of the Jewish life cycle.
Programs and Services: The OJCC will coordinate, plan and implement religious services, educational programs, as well as cultural and recreational activities for its members as well as the general community.
Welcoming Environment: The OJCC will offer an accessible environment for its members and visitors to worship, and take part in spiritual, cultural, and social activities in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.

Okanagan Jewish Community's Sanctuary
The Okanagan Jewish Community's Sanctuary is housed in the OJCC building, is very well equipped with three Torahs, a wide variety of Sedurim and artifacts. The OJCC also has the only Jewish Cemetery between Vancouver and Calgary.
The Oak Cabinet in the Lobby
The oak cabinet located at the entrance to the OJCC lobby contains our visitors book and a number of religious artifacts and items from our gift shop which should be of interest to our visitors.
The Hand-made Quilt
The Yiddish Quilt is a 10x6 foot tapestry hanging in the lobby. Twenty-five family members expressed their views of Jewish life.
The Tree of Life
In the lobby of the OJCC is a Tree of Life, whose leaves are engraved to commemorate individuals,events and achievements.
